Season comes to an end at Districts

The girls golf season came to an end today as sophomore Jaime O'Neill and senior Libby Hill played well but came up short in their efforts to qualify for sectionals. Playing at Crown Pointe GC in Farmington MO, the MSHSAA Class 2 District 1 turned out to be the most competitive district in the state by far. Needing to finish in the top 15 of the individual scores not on the top two district squads, Jaime came nine places from qualifying. The scores were greatly improved upon from last year.

Banquet- I've received many forms for the banquet next Thursday. If you haven't turned yours in yet, see me tomorrow at school.

Varsity get their first win of the season

The varsity girls golf team hosted Lafayette and Mehlville on Wednesday at Pomme Creek GC. The Warriors finished in the middle as they dropped their match to the Lancers but defeated the Panthers. Final score was Lafayette 169- Fox 220- Mehlville 263.  The Fox score of 220 bested their previous team score by 22 strokes. History was close to being on Wednesday as sophomore Jill Donart almost shot lower than Jaime O'Neill. They tied for medalist honors in the Mehlville match as they both carded a 53. Since Jaime has joined the team last year as a freshman, no one at Fox has shot lower than her in a nine hole match. We'll see if it happens this year. Senior Libby Hill shot 55 and Sarah Lamprecht a 59 to round out the Warrior team score. Pictured below are the thrilled, victorious ladies.

The Fox golf team dropped the C-6 Matchplay Cup to Seckman on Tuesday by the score of 4-2. Limited to only six matches because of Seckman's low number of eligible golfers, the Warriors competed well.
