Golf banquet

One of the most successful seasons in Fox golf history was celebrated last night, and sadly we had to say goodbye to five wonderful seniors. 

Season ends at Sectionals

One of the most successful seasons in Fox Girls Golf history came to an end today at sectionals at Crown Pointe GC in Farmington, MO. Senior Miranda Dowden and sophomore Macyn Young battled well and came up short in their effort to qualify for the state tournament. The Class 2 Sectional 1 tournament proved to be the toughest sectional in the state according to the qualifying score of 83. We will celebrate this great season on Thursday at the Service Center starting at 6pm.

Two advance to sectionals

Fox came in 8th of 12 teams at the MSHSAA Class 2 District 1 tournament today at the Links of Dardenne. Senior Miranda Dowden and sophomore Macyn Young qualified for sectionals next Monday at Crown Pointe GC in Farmington, MO. Fox 9th of 10 at Conference

The team struggled a bit at the Suburban West Conference Tournament today at the Links of Dardenne. Fox came in 9th out of 10 teams. Illness and injuries are catching up with the Warrior, but we'll finish strong as Postseason starts Tuesday. Sophomore Sydney Young just missed out on a medal by shooting a 96, good enough for 17th place. 

Fox 4th of 8 at Farmington Tourney

The team had a pretty good showing today at the Farmington Matchplay Tourney at Crown Pointe GC. The team came in 4th out of 8 teams. Seniors Emily Hulsey and Jill Donart received  individual medals for winning their matches. Jill shot a career best 45 on the front nine at Crown.

Short handed Fox lose to Marquette and Lindbergh. Due to illness and another injury, Fox competed at Forest Hills today with just the minimum four golfers. They competed hard and came just short of defeating the Flyers. Sophomore Sydney Young is medalist in Lindbergh match with a 48. Other scores included-

JV ties Parkway South and defeats Eureka at Aberdeen. Emily Hulsey is the medalist with a 51, and gets promoted to varsity for Tuesday.

JV finishes 6th of 15 teams

Congratulations to the JV girls golf team for placing 6th out of 15 teams at the Lindbergh JV Tournament at Columbia Golf Course.

The team was led by Cassie Buchanan, who shot 100 on 18 holes.  Kaitlyn Bell scored a 105and Emily Hulsey finished with a 104 (and a chip in for eagle on a par 4). Lillie Bader rounded out the group with a 111.

Fox wins Webster Scramble Tournament

The Fox girls' golf team won the 17 team Webster Scramble Tournament on Friday at Sunset Hills GC. It's believed to be the first tourney title in program history. The scramble pair of senior Jaime O'Neill and sophomore Sydney Young came in 8th with an 81. Senior Cammy Lashley and sophomore Macyn Young came in 12th with an 84. The third Fox pairing of seniors Miranda Dowden and Jill Donart had the lowest score of any other third pairing with a 90. The team shot 46 stokes better than last year's tournament and went from 11th place last year to 1st in 2016.

Varsity drops close one to NW

Fox almost pulled off the upset over the defending Suburban West champion NW Lions today but the home course advantage was too much to overcome. Sophomore Sydney Young led the Warriors with a 46 in their 223-217 defeat. 

JV defeats NW

The JV team defeated Northwest at Pomme today in a heat shortened match by the score of 115-121. Junior Kaitlin Bell had the lowest round for the Warriors.  

Seckman takes back the C6 Cup

There were close matches throughout the lineup, but Fox dropped the Cup by a 7-5 score. Winners for the Warriors included Macyn Young, Cammy Lashley, Jill Donart, Cassie Buchanan, and Kaitlin Bell.

Heat advisory?

Be sure to check Twitter and the website tomorrow before heading to Pomme. I had planned on us teeing off at 2pm but if the heat index is too high we won't be able to play together. I'll make a decision by 12noon.

Pomme on Tuesday

I will not be able to make it to Pomme tomorrow, but golfers can still play on their own. The men's Tuesday scramble is usually finished around 2pm, and then the course is wide open. Call or text a teammate, meet at Pomme tomorrow, pay $8 at the clubhouse, and play nine holes. There's no rain in the forecast and it'd be great to take advantage of a dry day. I will be at the range on Thursday 7-8pm.

Beautiful weather for the range this evening. Worked on some pitching and putting during a productive practice. Good turnout too.

Great turnout on the girl's side today. Cammy, Emily, and Cassie beat out the foursomes of girl golfers to take the braggin' rights for today's outing. We'll be back at it Thursday at the range-7pm.

It was still pretty hot Thursday evening, but Fox Golf still got their swings in at the range and continue to improve. Great work.

It was a hot one yesterday, but it's nice to see the dedicated golfers on the course, working on their game. Driving range Thursday from 7-8pm. 

Boys range session cancelled June 9

Boys golf will not be meeting at the range this Thursday June 9- only girls will practice w/ Coach Wilken from 7-8pm. Pomme next Tuesday June 14 and range Thursday June 16 for everyone. 

Summer golf at Pomme begins

Great day for Fox golf at Pomme. Congrats McGwire and John for winning today's scramble, beating Blake and Jacob by one stroke. Three way tie on the girls side at Pomme- tiebreaker next week- Jaime/Lilly, Miranda/Cassie, and Emily/Cammy.
