Fox sweeps Oakville (varsity 291-295)

Both the varsity and JV golf teams were victorious over Oakville today.  Fox varsity was led by medalist Brendan Lindsey, who shot a 43 under extremely windy conditions at Columbia GC.  Tyler Ward was second with a 44, and freshman Paul Henderson came in with 49 to secure the win for the Warriors 291-295.  

The JV squad was led by Alec Stirnemann and Ryan Lourance in their win over Oakville.

Fox varsity opens season with victory

The Warriors opened their season on Wednesday. The varsity golfers defeated Seckman 5-3. Lindsay, Basler, Weis, Ward, and Turner were victorious in their individual matches.

The JV golfers put forth a good effort in a losing cause.  Casey, Goclan, and James came through on the JV side. The team lost 5-3. 

The overall score was 8-8, which meant the Cup was retained by Seckman.  The Warrior golfers are back in action on Monday vs. Oakville.

Service Learning Project 2014

On Wednesday March 19th, Fox Golf completed their Service Learning Project in conjunction with Pomme Creek GC for the fifth consecutive year.

 

 

Pomme Tuesday, Range Wednesday

Because of the weather forecast, we're going to switch practices.  The team enjoyed the weather today (see below) and played nine holes.  We'll play Pomme again tomorrow, Tuesday, and the driving range on Wednesday.  If this messes with previous plans, you can pick up your golfer at Pomme, just be sure to speak with a coach before leaving with your child. Thanks and see everyone Thursday at the spring parent meeting at FHS.

Pomme is still closed. We will go to the range and be back on campus by 4pm.

We will meet at the golf closet after school and give out golf bags, then team meeting in 208.  We'll be going to Pomme on Friday now.

Malorie picked up her new set of Adams Women's Tight Lies Plus today.  Just in time for the warmer weather headed our way. Enjoy.

Spring Parent Meeting- new date

The Parent Meeting for Spring sports will be next Thursday March 13th at 6pm in the large gym at FHS. All golf parents should make plans to attend, especially those new to the program.  Our AD will address all parents, then golf parents will meet with me and Coach Neibert for sport specific rules and expectations.  Everything will be over by 630pm. 

Practice Tuesday

The golf closet will be open in the morning, so bring in your clubs and we will plan on going to the range after school.  

Change to Spring Parent Meeting

No Golf Today

All campus activities are cancelled for today.  Hopefully we can begin our golf season tomorrow.  I'll post and tweet info as soon as I know.

Golf on Monday?

I'm waiting on answer from administration as far as golf practice tomorrow/Monday.  If we do have practice, we would meet at school at 230pm.  Attendance will be optional.  If we cannot practice tomorrow then we will have to practice on Saturday at the range.  We need to get 14 practices in before our match versus Seckman.  Keep checking the blog and I'll also send out a tweet @foxgolfcoach when a decision is made.
